[tap-tap] Is This Thing On?

This past week marks quite a milestone; I finally created a sign-up on my website. It feels like a big turning point to ask people to intentionally join me on this journey.

[FULL DISCLOSURE: Any time that I say “I” did something techy as in “I created a sign-up on my website” 9 times out of 10 it was my super-supportive hubby who did it.]

[FULL-ER DISCLOSURE: When I say 9 times out of 10, I really mean it’s always Dean that does that stuff.]

For the past 24 weeks I have been blogging and, while I do share on social media when there is a new post, I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t really thought that anyone would read this.

I don’t say that in a pity-party kind of way, but more of a “people are busy and it’s not like I’m giving out chocolate bars.” (My parents talk about not going with strangers, even when they offer candy, apparently didn’t take because chocolate clearly overrode parental advice in my mind.)

As pleased as I am in the progress on the website, what is even more mind-blowing is that people actually signed up! I probably should just play it cool, but honestly, I’m completely amazed.

Sure, my dad signed up (Thanks Dad!)… and my dear friend & fellow creative Sue (What up, SS!), but if you are anyone besides those 2 you are basically the nicest, coolest, most awesome-est person to show any interest in this little journey.

I don’t take this interest lightly. My commitment is that I’ll keep documenting what I am doing and creating artwork every day.

Beyond that, I’ll share my thoughts on topics that are important to me and hopefully bring a giggle or two.

Of course, if we get further down the road and I’ve ceased to bring you any kind of value, no hurt feelings to “peace out” and part ways. I don’t expect my vibe to be of interest to everyone.

But if you are enjoying what I’m putting out and there are topics you want to hear about or ideas you want to share, please let me know. It’s not my intention to “monologue” this whole time; I’d love to tailor what I’m doing to serve the lovely folks following along.
