Short and Sweet

Keeping it short this week, but wanted to share my update of 30-hours of work on my hole-punch pointillism bird. Excited to be adding color and really pleased with how it is coming together.

As I mentioned last week I wanted to share an update on the status of the Typism 8 book that I have artwork featured in. The fine folks at Typism have been diligently sending updates about the books, which were delayed because of some printing issues.

Two weeks ago the final printed books were delivered to Team Typism so now it’s just a matter of them getting shipped out. Considering they are located in Australia, I have no idea what kind of time-frame we are looking at before I get it in hand.

I believe the Australian Post is a trained army of wallabies who carry all the parcels in their pouches, which obviously can’t be easy because you know they run out of room quickly. Which I totally relate to because lately when I’ve been going out and I can’t fit everything I need in my purse I’ve resorted to putting my purse inside another bag that has things I need but don’t fit inside my purse, which basically looks like a lame Russian doll, but I would rather do that then carry both a purse AND a bag because I KNOW that I would leave one of them behind since that’s my mental capacity lately, I can only carry ONE thing and even then it’s still a crapshoot.

Anyhoo, while I am waiting for my Typism 8 book to arrive I will enjoy a FREE event that Typism is hosting this week. It’s a three-day, online event called Typism Summit and while the target audience is lettering artists, looking at the line-up of speakers I think there could be gems for other creatives who are working toward a goal or even just looking to be inspired.

You can grab a FREE ticket here. Check out one session or attend them all. As this is an international group the times may be a little different from when you would expect, but each presentation will be available to watch for 72-hours after, so that’s awesome.

Next week I will share images of the half-way point on my hole-punch pointillism bird. And I’m hoping to have an update on some audio projects that are NOT Amish romance. #staytuned
