Over and Over and Over and Over and Over Again…

When you are navigating uncharted waters, there is always more to learn. Some days that can feel exciting, as if there are new opportunities and untapped potential around every corner, but other days it can be a bit of a drag (seriously, are we THERE yet?)

One of the things I’m continuing to learn is the importance of repetition, repetition, repetition. How it’s important to keep saying something over and over.

Many people who have successfully grown a business online recognize over time that they need to develop a comfort level in repeating information. Saying a message multiple times, sometimes in different ways, in order to increase the likelihood of someone hearing it and taking action.

I’m not always comfortable with repetition, because it sometimes feels like it may contradict my interest of bringing value. Once you say something, repeating it seems like a quick way to frustrate an audience.

There are 3 things I am learning when it comes to repetition:

  1. It’s necessary to repeat a message.
  2. People are not nearly as bothered by repetition as you may think.
  3. The people who leave, aren’t your audience.

I wouldn’t say that I’ve got this down, but I’m trying. As you may have noticed in the process of sharing my learning about the importance of repeating, I am continuing to share more examples of TEAM graphics.

It’s my parenting encouragement idea of declaring to yourself, your youngster, and the world at large that you’re a team. Whether it’s the early years when you are knee-deep in diapers and taking a nap feels like the height of luxury, or the teen years when you need to consistently remind them (there’s the repetition piece again) that an eye-roll is not going to cut it as a form of acceptable communication.

If you would like a free printable for your desk or wallpaper for your phone (let’s be honest, that thing is a more consistent presence than our kids), leave a comment that you would like your own TEAM graphic.
