Successful Mothers Are Not The Ones That Never Struggled, They Are The Ones That Never Give Up Despite The Struggles

Successful Mothers Are Not The Ones That Never Struggled

Day 496

Totally remember getting all tripped up on how to be a good mom. Does it start with making their baby food from scratch and using cloth diapers? Is a mom’s value found in how a child reaches certain developmental milestones? Is it teaching them multiple languages while their brain is still developing? The first time I lost my temper when dealing with my kids, I was like, well I guess I’m pretty much the worst mom ever. However, been learning more and more it’s not about never messing up, it’s what we do after the mess that matters. Plus, there isn’t just one way to be a good mom. If the homemade-baby- food-cloth-diaper-foreign-language-learning is your vibe then have at it! And if your house is a mess, you just picked up dinner at a drive-thru and you sometimes utilize Netflix as a “nanny” to get through a day, I totally get it. Being a mom is hard and I’m much more interested in sharing some love and encouragement with fellow moms in the trenches. So Happy Mother’s Day to every mom, grandma, aunt or mother-figure, you gals are crushing it!
